Meal Deliveries Making Life Easier

by Rob Godar 06/30/2019

Whether you don't like cooking or want to avoid the shopping and prep working, or simply don't have access to healthy groceries, there's a delivery service for you. Sometimes its just nice to take the night off and order in some takeout.

Restaurant Delivery Services

You can always check with your local businesses individually to see if they deliver to you, but that can be tedious, time-consuming and no one really does it. You have other options. Check out the top delivery services in your area. These are companies that provide the drivers and partner with restaurants to bring meals right to your door. Nationwide services include eat24, uberEats, GrubHub and more. You can even get restaurant food delivered through Amazon in some areas. The best part? Most of these services have apps and complete menus to make ordering and tracking your food easy. Watch the little car drive to your door, or wait for the final notification to show up. No matter your level of food obsession, you can watch it all the way.

Many large restaurant chains, especially pizza chains, have their own delivery services and apps. For pizza anywhere, check out the Pizza Hut, Dominoes and more pizza ordering apps in your local app store. Want to play it old school? Most of these restaurants will take phone orders as well, but there are often better deals online or in the app.

Don't forget to do some research for city-wide or regional delivery services, these often have restaurants not available on the more extensive services and vice versa, giving you the greatest variety.

Meal Kit Delivery Services

If you still want to cook your meals, but don’t actually want to do the shopping, you’re looking for a meal kit delivery service. With varying prices depending on the quality and complexity of the meal and ingredients as well as the number of portions, most of these operate similarly to a subscription service. You plan a set amount of food, and the ingredients and instructions are delivered directly to your door. Just follow the recipe and have a great dinner in as little as fifteen minutes. Many of these services have specific meal plans to help you meet your personal health goals.

Sun Basket offers clean living meal plans for everything from gluten-free to vegan, including a diabetes-friendly plan, which can help you get a hold of significant dietary changes and protect you from the dreaded grocery store. Home Chef focuses on high quality, tasty meals, let you choose from 15 recipes. Blue Apron is known for its recipe variety and easy to use management system.

There are so many more choices, including specific ones in your area, so do some quick searching and start eating free of the store today!
